OpenBMB (Open Lab for Big Model Base) is an open-source community initiated by THUNLP, the Natural Language Processing Lab at Tsinghua University, together with ModelBest. It works to bring large-model technology onto on-device hardware and intelligent devices and to make it broadly accessible. Overseas developers currently rank OpenBMB among the world's top 20 open-source large-model communities, with more than 150,000 GitHub stars, placing it in the global top 100 open-source communities. OpenBMB keeps pursuing one vision: bringing large models into every home.

Open "About Us" on the new site and you will see the full map of the OpenBMB community: from our philosophy, technical roadmap, and timeline to our partner network; from the model technology itself to projects delivered with universities, chip vendors, and open-source communities. It records what we have achieved, and it is also where new exploration is unfolding—come see what we have done and where we are heading next.

Home | Open the OpenBMB technology map

The homepage reorganizes content around OpenBMB's technical directions and community progress, presenting the community's philosophy, flagship models, open-source data, and recent technical articles and events.

Core results such as MiniCPM-o 4.5, MiniCPM-V 4.6, MiniCPM5-1B, VoxCPM2, and UltraData now have clearer entry points, covering omni-modal, multimodal, on-device language models, and speech generation. Click an entry to open its detail page and see model data, capability overviews, and technical details.

Open-source projects, community data, and the latest updates refresh in real time on the homepage. New visitors get the whole technology map at a glance, while returning users can immediately follow model iterations and community developments—there is always something new.

Models | More than a showcase: the technology, explained

Each flagship model has its own detail page that covers, in a single page, where the model sits, its core capabilities, technical highlights, public evaluation results, and whether it suits further testing and deployment.

With the capability descriptions, evaluation data, and technical information on the page, developers can quickly form a basic judgment, then go to the project repository or try the model according to their actual needs.

Before you try anything, the new site answers the full range of questions, from "what is this model" to "is it right for me," so the information is all in one place.

Updates | From model releases to real-world deployment

The "Updates" page collects OpenBMB's blogs, papers, and news, with filtering by content type.

Here you can follow model releases, technical reports, deployment practices, application case studies, and community events, and keep a finger on OpenBMB's technical evolution and community pulse. Whether you are digging into underlying principles, looking for hands-on experience, or keeping up with the latest, you will find what you need quickly. Going forward, all major releases and community news will be published on the site first, so you stay in step with the frontier.

MiniCPM Global Ambassador Program | The next update is one we hope to commit with you

An open-source model reaches the wider world not only through version updates but through every use, every piece of feedback, every share, and every contribution.

The new site also launches the recruitment page for the MiniCPM Global Ambassador Program, aimed at developers with experience and enthusiasm in model practice, open-source contribution, technical content creation, or community organizing.

Whether you are good at getting models running in real scenarios, explaining complex technology clearly, or connecting more developers to open source, you will find a way to take part. The page details the recruitment areas, what participation involves, the benefits, and how to apply.

We look forward to working with developers from different countries and regions to bring MiniCPM to more devices and real scenarios—used by more people, tested by real needs, and continually evolving through shared building.

The next leg of MiniCPM's global journey is waiting for you to join!

In the coming days, new models and technical results, deployment practices and application case studies, community events, and co-building programs will appear on the site one after another. We will also keep adjusting and improving the site based on how developers actually experience it.

If you notice missing information, a broken link, or have any thoughts and suggestions while browsing, please let us know through OpenBMB community channels.

We look forward to writing "large models into every home" into more real-world scenarios with you.
